Wolfmother – Wolfmother
Take some Zeppelin & some AC/DC, throw it in a blender and pour me some Wolfmother!

Arctic Monkeys – Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not
OK, they were surrounded by a lot of hype but you know what, the album rocks! This album is great to throw on when you’re in a dancing mood, need to get amped at the gym or just need a pick-me-up after work. I’m also a sucker for British accents.

Thom Yorke – The Eraser
This is a beautiful solo album by Thom Yorke. It’s just the right blend of everything you love about his music.

Tom Petty – Highway Companion
Start your engines and get your car on the road, this is the quintessential album for summer road trips.



Top 5 Shows of 2006

Sleater-Kinney – Webster Hall, NYC 8/2/2006
Sleater-Kinney’s last NY show before their “undetermined hiatus” was indeed a night to remember. The girls rocked the house as always. If you missed this band live, you missed an era.

Gorillaz – Apollo Theater, NYC 4/6/2006
The tickets were expensive but after the show you knew why. Gorillaz pulled out all the stops during this live performance of their album “Demon Days.” All of the guests from the album were present to do their part from De La Soul to Dennis Hopper.

Erin McKeown – Bowery Ballroom, NYC 4/2/2006
Erin has one of the greatest voices today and she knows how to use it. Her songs are fun and powerful and she performs them well.

The Allman Brothers and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers – Tweeter Center, Camden, NJ 8/18/2006
A classic pairing, The Allman Brothers and Tom Petty played a phenomenal show to a great audience that danced, sang and partook in life’s finer things.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Roseland Ballroom, NYC 5/3/2006
Karen O knows how to put on a show and the rest of the band solidly backs her up. Now, with songs from two albums, the band was able to play a longer set than previous tours.
