Heart in a Cage

I was playing around with my cable TV on demand program yesterday and decided to check out the "music videos" section. I watched a few but one has me completely hooked - The Strokes video for Heart in a Cage is a fantastic piece of cinematography! I'm not sure who directed it but it's amazing! It was filmed in the financial district of New York and it has such a haunting, lonely feel. It's absolutely beautiful. Yeah Yeah Yeahs

On Wednesday I headed over to Roseland to see the YYYs. It was my first time seeing them as the headlining band (3rd time seeing them in general). They played a great show - if you have never seen Karen O bust a move onstage you are missing out on a great moment in rock n' roll. She dominates with her crazy fasion sense, yells and poses. They played a lot of songs from the new album but also a few from the old. The show only lasted a little over an hour but it was definitely a good time.
